Nun schon lange überfällig sind die Daten des PROPAIN Rookies Cups. Leider können wir aktuell noch keinen vollständigen Kalender veröffentlichen, da noch nicht alle Orte klar sind. Um aber etwas Licht ins Dunkle zu bringen, gibt es hier schonmal ein die Termine und zumindest die ersten Orte.

The dates for the PROPAIN Rookies Cup are now long overdue. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to publish a complete calendar, as not all locations have been finalised. But to shed some light on the situation, here are the dates and at least the first locations.

Irgendwie ist dieses Jahr es besonders schwer den Kalender der Serien aufzustellen. Anfangs haben wir ewig warten müssen, weil der Weltcup seine Daten nicht publizierte oder zumindest unter der Hand mit uns teilen konnte. Dies ist aber notwendig, weil wir immer erst den iXS European Downhill Cup aufstellen müssen, um dann alle anderen des iXS Downhill Cups um diesen herum zu platzieren.

Erst wenn die Termine, die mit einer Anmeldung im UCI-Kalender verbunden sind, bestätigt wurden, können wir die freien Wochen mit dem Rookies Cup füllen, wobei natürlich manche Rennen aufgrund der Einbettung in Festivals schon frühzeitig terminiert werden. Und bis das alles mal so fertig ist, vergeht sehr viel Zeit. Leider ist es so, dass wir an fast jedem Wochenende ein Rennen haben und sobald eines sich verschiebt, der ganze Plan wieder über den Haufen geworfen werden muss.

Eigentlich haben wir lange Zeit gehofft, den Kalender wie geplant im Dezember veröffentlichen zu können, aber dann kamen noch ein paar Stolpersteine hinzu, so dass uns nun immer noch die finale Zusage von zwei Orten fehlt. Oftmals sind es Kleinigkeiten, warum solche Prozesse sich hinziehen können, beispielsweise wegen Urlaub oder Krankheit einzelner Mitarbeiter, der volle Terminkalender von Entscheidungsträgern oder auch das noch nicht finalisierte Budget fürs Jahr. Es tut uns leid, aber wir müssen wirklich froh sein, wenn Veranstalter die Mühe einer Rennorganisation auf sich nehmen und wissen, dass meist sehr viel Enthusiasmus dahintersteht. Somit bitten wir um etwas Geduld und bringen hier zumindest das heraus, was schonmal feststeht:

Somehow this year it is particularly difficult to set up the series calendar. In the beginning we had to wait forever because the World Cup didn't publish its dates or at least couldn't share them with us in secret. But this is necessary because we always have to set up the iXS European Downhill Cup first and then place all the other iXS Downhill Cup races around it.

Only when the dates associated with registration in the UCI calendar have been confirmed can we fill the free weeks with the Rookies Cup, although of course some races are scheduled early due to the fact that they are embedded in festivals. And a lot of time passes before everything is finalised. Unfortunately, we have a race almost every weekend and as soon as one is postponed, the whole plan has to be thrown out the window again.

We had actually hoped for a long time that we would be able to publish the calendar in December as planned, but then a few more stumbling blocks arose, meaning that we are still missing the final confirmation from two locations. It's often the little things that cause such processes to drag on, for example due to holidays or illness of individual employees, the busy schedules of decision-makers or the fact that the budget for the year has not yet been finalised. We are sorry, but we have to be really happy when organisers go to the trouble of organising a race and know that there is usually a lot of enthusiasm behind it. We therefore ask for a little patience and at least publish here what has already been finalised:
